The Heartsaver CPR AED Training Course is designed to teach participants the essential skills needed to respond to emergencies involving sudden cardiac arrest and other life-threatening situations. This course covers Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children, and infants, as well as how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Participants will learn to recognize the signs of a heart attack, cardiac arrest, and choking, and how to perform life-saving techniques like chest compressions, rescue breathing, and the proper use of an AED. The course is ideal for anyone looking to gain the confidence and skills to respond effectively in an emergency, whether in the workplace, at home, or in public settings. Upon completion, participants will receive a Heartsaver CPR AED certification that is valid for two years.Heartsaver CPR AED is geared for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, personal, or other requirements.The course will be taught by certified instructors from the Hampden Fire Department. When: Nov 8th 9am-12pmWhere: Hampden Fire Station 19 North Road, Hampden, MA 01036Registration: Sep 18 - Nov 1

Get ready to wow your guests this holiday season! In this hands-on class, you'll learn how to create a stunning Thanksgiving centerpiece that captures the warmth and beauty of the season. Whether you're hosting a big family gathering or just want to add a festive touch to your home, this class will guide you step-by-step in crafting a one-of-a-kind arrangement. The class is taught by expert florist Ted Metayer of Heavenly Inspirations Flower and Gifts.  We’ll explore a variety of materials including fresh and faux florals, seasonal greenery, and natural fall elements. You’ll learn basic floral design techniques, how to balance color and texture, and tips for making your centerpiece last through the holiday.
