Come join Hampden's Summer Activity program at Memorial Park! Programming includes Arts & Crafts, Field Activities, Games, Science & Nature, Spray Park & Playground. Themed weeks like Superhero Week, Wacky Week, Olympics Week, Celebration Week, Water Week, and Carnival Week keep things fresh all summer long.
Days/Weeks Available:
Jul 6-10 - Super Hero Week - Calling all heroes! It’s Super Hero Week and our energetic program staff has a full schedule of superhero-themed activities planned—games, crafts, challenges, and team-building fun.
Jul 13-17 - Wacky Week - Is all about fun and creativity! Participants celebrate with themed days like Twin Day, Crazy Hair Day, and Mismatch Day — a week full of laughs, wacky activities, and spirit!
Jul 20-24 - Olympics Week - Let the games begin! Our young athletes will represent countries, compete in friendly challenges, and participate in Olympic-inspired crafts, activities, and team events. From relay races to medal ceremonies, it's a week full of spirit, sportsmanship, and summer fun.
Jul 27-31 - Celebration Week - Each day, we’ll highlight a different celebration—like birthdays, holidays, milestones, and more! Our staff has planned a variety of festive, themed activities including games, crafts, group challenges, and special surprises to keep the energy high and the smiles big.
Aug 3-Aug 7 - Water Week - Get ready to cool off! It’s Water Week, and we’ll be making the most of our spray park with water games, outdoor fun, and splash-themed crafts and activities. Friday will feature a waterslide bounce house!
Aug 10-Aug 14 - Carnival Week - Step right up—it’s time for Carnival Week! Campers will enjoy carnival games, colorful crafts, silly contests, and lots of themed fun. The week will be filled with smiles, laughter, and a little friendly competition.
Cost:
$165/wk Resident - 1st child
$135/wk Resident - 2nd child
$125/wk Resident - 3rd and additional children
$185/wk Non-Res - 1st child
$155/wk Non-Res - 2nd child
$145/wk Non-Res - 3rd and additional children
Register by day $45 Resident, $50 Non-Resident
**Registration deadline is 10 days prior to camp attendance date pending availability**
Hours:
8:30AM-2:30PM (No supervision provided outside of Summer Program hours)
Ages:
4yr to 13yr Groups are divided by age/grade
What to Bring:
- Food & Drink:
- Snack, lunch, and drink (no refrigeration available)
- Full refillable water bottle
- Clothing & Footwear:
- Bathing suit and towel
- Sweatshirt
- Weather-appropriate clothing (camp runs rain or shine)
- Sneakers (required)
- Sun & Bug Protection:
- Apply sunscreen before camp each day
- Bug spray (optional)
- Snack Bar (Fridays only):
- Small snacks and drinks available for purchase
- $2-$3 is sufficient if sending money
- Please do not bring toys from home
Please note:
1. Parents must sign child in and out each day.
2. Additional child discount does not show in the shopping cart. It will be shown automatically at the final stage of checkout.
IMPORTANT:
Your child cannot attend the program if you have not submitted the Hampden Memorial Park Health form or doctors school physical health record completed within the last year. You will be provided the opportunity to upload the document during the checkout process, you can upload it to your MyRec account, or it can be emailed to parks@hampdenma.gov. The form can be found below.
